The room

Fourteen seats. No sign outside.

Ma is the Japanese word for the pause between things: a rest in music, a gap in a wall. We built a bar around it. Dark concrete, one long counter, soft light, and records played quietly enough to talk over.

You will find the door in a courtyard in Sololaki. There is no sign, only the character.
